Haven't posted for ages due to hospital stays...pneumonia twice...then found out I have a serious illness that won't go away...systemic sclerosis.

So, no crafting from me again as my joints are too sore.

Have to sell all my crafting goodies so if anyone is interested........ let me know.

I have also fractured my spine in three places after a bad fall and no more dog walks or gardening.

Won't be too good on breathing either as I was told I have lung damage through the sclerosis and have been given chemotherapy treatment to halt further damage but the damage already there is irreversible. So, any exertion is pretty exhausting.

Not much good news on this posting, sorry....but one good bit of news is I am granny again to wee beautiful Rosa who is almost a year old now! She smiles all the time and is such a happy wee thing.

That is all for now as I get tired too quickly. Hope all who reads this have a good day!

These are some of the first steps from Ivy E. caught on camera! Magical moments that are fleeting but treasured forever in memories.

This is Ivy on her horse......her first birthday! She got so many lovely gifts!

These are a selection of some of the cards I make......

This is my wee Ivy E. ...I decided to make my Christmas cards using this lovely photograph of her....I made quite a few using the same photo......:)

The rest of the cards I made were for special people..a Christmas card for my friend Joan I met on Crafttelly forum...an anniversary card for my daughter's friends from uni.

a Mother's Day card for my Mother-in-law...

a couple of Ivy E. in Halloween outfits...a witch and a ladybird-my daughter couldn't decide what to dress Ivy E. in........hmmmm!

A special card for my friend Joan....she liked it a lot!

Wedding Day in offing.......flippin' expensive!

When we...my other half...got wed back in the day it cost for everything £54 in total! Nothing fancy of course, for that price no way! But it was the best day ever for me even though it was held in the local reg. office and the room was more of a cupboard which could only hold me and he with two witnesses...my sister and her husband at that time [since divorced] but my dad and his buddy gatecrashed it with a bouquet of tea roses wrapped in last nights chip paper that dad had pulled from the lamp post waste bin on the street outside ...and as we left the office and made our way outside into the reg. office to the gate leading to where our car was parked, the answer to the question of where dad had gotten the bouquet of  newspaper wrapped roses was answered and explained why, as I walked along with dad's gift held in my hands and the odour of fish and vinegar wafted along with me, there was a little trail of soil dropping down along with some wriggling worms and the roots of the roses slowly following down and peeping out from the crumpled paper edge....for as we passed the little garden edging the path there were pot-holes and soil crumbs trailing onto the concrete paving ...needless to say we started to move very quickly from the scene of the crime! Dad, I must explain in his defence, was ......rather inebriated and not totally in his usually good behaviour!  My girl and her fiance have set the date to wed ....I am making the invitations and other stationary to save a few pennies but so far the DRESS has cost an arm and a leg! Not to mention the photographer cost and the venue bill and the cake tasting to decide if a couple of hundred is okay for what the future bride decides is acceptable for her.................I am having trouble sleeping at night .......I keep seeing pounds disappearing rapidly over fences instead of sheep...... Anyone know of a good supplier of balloons and the gas to fill them....and is this a cheaper option from flowers? :)

Listening is over rated....

Don't you sometimes wonder where the time has gone? I know I do. Especially when I see photographs from times gone by...or from last year even. The best  is remembered fondly and the worst is recalled with dread, but when you see events such as last weeks rioting you realise that what you thought was the worst can not compare with anyone who suffered at the hands of the thugs and hooligans from these terrible events. One hundred people have lost their homes ..according to the press.... all through greed! They should be ashamed of themselves for commiting these crimes, but somehow I think that shame is not in their make up. Sometimes I despair of my fellow human beings and for my grandchildren's future.
